born and raised in waterloo region, shannon has been creating art since she could hold a pencil and a paintbrush. this interest was nurtured and encouraged through family and community programming. while she never planned on it being something she formally pursued, her passion for the creative process and creative expression led her to complete BFA along with her degree in psychology.

her work is an exploration of her inner and outer worlds and how the two interact and exist symbiotically. nature is her biggest teacher and she uses it to navigate and explore interconnectedness to all things.

for her, painting is about the process and intention put into the work and her practice is meditative, grounding, reflective and a place of peace.

she has participated in various shows, live painting events, and she also has taught art lessons both in the wider community, privately, and occasionally hosts social art nights for those looking for fun ways to explore new creative outlets and have fun. most of her time is spent on commission work, but appreciates the opportunity for experimentation and growth in her creative practice.
